ASA prints almost identically to ABS with one key advantage: UV stability. Settings mirror ABS closely — nozzle at 250-260°C, bed at 105°C, and full enclosure required. ASA warps slightly less aggressively than ABS but still demands controlled ambient temperatures. Fan at 0% for the full print. Print speed of 40 mm/s maintains good layer bonding. ASA also emits fumes — ventilate properly. First layer adhesion: PEI plate at 100–110°C is reliable. For large footprint prints, increase the brim to 10–15mm as ASA corners lift without warning.
